Design (Graphic/Information)
What Can I Do With A Major In Design?
Design is the designing or creating of graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such as packaging, displays, or logos. It is a collaborative process between a client and a designer to convey a specific message to a targeted audience. The term design refers to various artistic and professional disciplines that focus on visual communication and presentation. Design often refers to both the process (designing) by which the communication is created and the products (designs) which are generated.
CCSU design students may apply to participate in the award winning, for-credit, student-operated full-service design studio, Central Design. The internship, under faculty supervision provides design services to selected real world clients.
