Construction Management

What Can I Do With A Major In Construction Management?

Construction Management is the overall planning and coordination of a construction project from inception to completion. Construction managers participate in the development of the project and oversee the entire operation aiming to fulfill designated requirements in order to produce a viable project that will be finished on time, within budget and to code and required quality standards.

Entry level positions such as assistant superintendent, project engineer and junior estimator are typical. Graduates soon become project managers, superintendents and chief estimators for construction management firms, general contractors and specialty contractors.
