           a. AAUP: No announcements

           c. President of the Senate: President Barrington announced the following:
           d University-Museum-Community-Night at the Museum- K. Ritzenhoff the upcoming Night at the Museum events and encouraged faculty and staff to attend.

2. Minutes: Senator Benfield moved to approve the Minutes from the meeting of March 9, 2009. (Passed)

3. Reports:
           a. Curriculum: Due to illness, this report was deferred until the next meeting 4/27/09.
           b. Elections Committee Update: Senator Glagovich announced the following:
·        Elections for Committees elected by the Senate will be held on 4/27/09
·        Elections for Committees elected by all faculty will be on the web.
·        Nominations were taken from the floor for:
Vice President: (remaining term 2009-2010) Senator Glagovich nominated
Senator Abadiano moved to close (Passed).
Secretary: Senator Sims nominated

Constitution & By-Laws: Senator Sims nominated

·        Nominations still required are:
                                   1 Full School of Business CSU Trustees Research Award
                                   2 Full any school CSU Trustees Teaching Award
                       c. Academic Standards Committee: Senator Mulrooney presented the recommendations from the committee. The Graduate Studies Committee also reviewed this proposal. A number of questions were asked by the membership concerning the impact of late  submission of grades on students. Senator Spector moved to postpone this proposal until the next meeting in order to solicit input from constituent faculty. (Passed).Â

             a. Update: Ad Hoc Committee Center for Student Success: this item was deferred until he next meeting for consideration.
