1. Minutes
- Approved unanimously
2. Announcements:
a. AAUP President (K. Kean for L. Williams)
- The chapter meeting will be tomorrow; light lunch will be served.
b. SUOAF-AFSCME President (L. Bigelow)
- SUOAF-AFSCME is planning a major event for June 15; at this point the event will be open to administrative faculty, but it is possible that it will be open to the entire campus community
c. SGA (B. Kruh)
- The SGA President-Elect, Kassandra Fruin, is at today's meeting.
- This semester's last Good Neighbor campaign will be held on Friday, April 20, at 4:30pm.
- 16 gubenatorial candidates have confirmed that they will attend the SGA's gubenatorial forum on Monday, April 30.
- SGA has meet with represenatives of other schools' student governements. There is concern that the "Students First" plan might include the consolidation of student governments.
- Senator Blitz asked if students are well informed about "Students First". President Kruh said that student senators are, but for the most part information has not reached the broader student community.
d. FAC to the Board of Regents (S. Adair)
- The FAC systemwide conference was held on Friday at SCSU, with over 400 people. Next year's conference will be at CCSU on April 5.
- President Ojakian expects a phone call by Thursday about NEASC's decision on "Students First".
e. President of the Senate (S. Cohen)
- The NEASC open forum will be on Monday, April 23, 11am to 1pm. Lunch will be served. Now is the time to provide feedback on NEASC Standards 4 and 6.
- The Open Forum for Students, Faculty and Staff will be on Tuesday, April 17 at 3pm in the Constitution Room. President Toro will be there.
3. Election of Standing Committees of the Faculty
- The Elections Committee distributed, collected and counted ballots for all Standing Committees of the Faculty elected by the Senate, and for other positions elected by the Senate.
- The following faculty members were elected for two-year terms unless otherwise indicated:
- Academic Integrity Committee: Christina Barmon, Michelle Cubellis, Matthew Martin; a runoff between Jill Espelin and Faris Malhas will be necessary for the fourth available seat
- CCSU Foundation Board of Directors: Fiona Pearson (1 year)
- CCSU Foundation Grant Advisory Committee: Sheri Fafunwa-Ndibe, Elisabeta Pana, Lynda Valerie
- Excellence in Teaching Committee: Cameron Brewer, Faris Malhas
- Framework Implementation and Review Committee: Candace Barrington (3 years)
- Distinguished Service Award Committee: Joseph Farhat (2018-20 term), Cheryl Crespi (Spring 2018 only)
- Grade Appeals Committee: Michael Bartone, Steven Block, Tom Vasko
- Library Committee: Elizabeth Brewer, Charles Menoche, Amy Gagnon, Michael Wizevich
- Student Affairs Committee: Patrick Foster, Cassandra York
- University Athletics Board: Amy Gagnon, Susan Koski, Amanda Tellier
- University Planning and Budget Committee: Lisa Marie Bigelow (3 years), Linda Clark (1 year), Stephen Cohen (3 years), Marianne Fallon (2 or 3 years), Joseph Farhat (2 or 3 years), Justine Gamache (1 year), Judy Hodgson (3 years), Lisa Washko (3 years); a runoff between Marianne Fallon and Joseph Farhat will determine who gets the longer term

5. New Business
a. Fall 2018 Marketing Presentation
- A link to the presentation will be added as soon as possible.
b. Discussion of recent actions of the Board of Regents and of "Students First"
- The ad hoc committee on responding to "Students First" will meet on Tuesday, 2pm, in MW 302.
