2. Announcements:
a. AAUP President (M. A. Mahony)
- The chapter meeting and social will be on Wednesday, at 3:15pm, in the Nutmeg Room.
b. SUOAF-AFSCME President (L. Bigelow)
- The SUOAF-AFSCME holiday party will be on December 13.
- People who converted from ARP to Hybrid after July 2013 AND opted for Grandfathered Normal Retirement (GNR) had to make a certain number of retroactive payments (the number of retro payments and amount of these payments varied according to date of conversion and age.) At a certain point (people would have been told up-front how many pay periods they’d pay the higher retro amount), the payroll deduction should have decreased to the regular GNR deduction (payable until retirement.) In some cases, the Comptroller continued to take the higher amount, beyond the date they should have. If you converted to the Hybrid AND opted for GNR at the time of the conversion, check to see if you are currently paying the right amount or the higher retro amount. Contact the Comptroller’s Office to request a refund if still paying the higher amount.

- The NEASC review process has begun; the entire campus needs to be aware of the process. The first open forum was earlier today. There will be 4 more.

- Approved unanimously

- Approved unanimously

- President Cohen said that he has asked the Diversity and International Education committees to look at the Sanctuary Campus movement.
- The BOR is apparently discussing this same issue.
- Some senators asked whether other groups of students should be included in this resolution; however, it seemed preferable to include all people on campus without naming any specific groups.
- Motion to amend (Broadus-Garcia) by striking "confusion and" as well as "in the wake of the recent presidential election" from the first bullet point.

- Motion to amend (Button) by changing "Students" to "Members of the Campus Community" in the title.
- Approved unanimously
- Motion to amend (Bigelow) by changing "to their status" to "to their standing" in the second bullet point.

- Senator Button moved that this resolution be sent the campus community.
