1. Motion to approve Minutes of December January 23  : ( Murphy )  - Passed

 

2. Announcements:

 

President Craine (Senate):  Made the following referral to Senate Committees for consideration and report back to the Senate

  1. Academic Standards Committee to look into “No Show” problem
  2. Constitution & ByLaws Committee to consider greater representation from part-time faculty
  3.  Safety & Environmental Health Committee to consider Smoking beyond 200 feet of building entrances
  4. Student Affairs Committee to consider CAST Standards
  5. Committee on Committees to consider Senate participation SGA initiated Food Services Committee

 

President White (CCSU-AAUP): In her absence, President Craine mentioned the February 14 meeting with President of CSU AAUP Dave Walsh on Contract negotiations, March 15 CCSU-AAUP Chapter meeting with luncheon in the Conecticut Room of Memorial Hall (12- 2pm) and March 29 Lobby Day at the Legislative Offic e Building (contact CCSU-AAUP Office for details)

4. New Business: Curriculum Committee Report (C. Burkholder Chair)

Deadline for changes in the Graduate Catalog is march 3, 2006, at Noon

From the December 7, 2005 report:

 

2b) Course revision: ANTH 430 Theories of Culture

 

Change numbering from ANTH 330 ANTH 340.

 

Remove [G] credit.

 

2d) Course revision: ANTH 300 City Life & Culture

 

Change numbering from ANTH 400  to ANTH 401.
