  1. Approval of Minutes of 5/17/2004: Passed unanimously

 

  1. Announcements: Pres. Aebersold is asking for the advice of the Senate regarding School of Business reorganization. Documents were sent out to all Senate members on 9/11/04. This item will be on the agenda of the next regular meeting of Senate.

 

Cindy White, AAUP President, announced a welcome back luncheon on Oct. 20, 2004 from 12:00 to 1:30pm. She also asked for volunteers for “Take a Legislator to Work”. Volunteers should contact Carol Greatorex at the AAUP office.

 

  1. Motion: Ernie Pancifar will serve on the DEC for Education Leadership. Approved unanimously.

 

  1. Elections. Nominations were opened for Faculty Senate President, Vice-President and Secretary. Nominations were made as follows:

President: Sadanand Nanjundiah was nominated and accepted the nomination.

Moises Salinas was nominated and declined the nomination.

Abigail Adams was nominated and declined the nomination.

Mary Ann Nunn was nominated, but was ruled ineligible as not a member of Senate

Matthew Warshauer was nominated, and accepted the nomination.

 

Vice-President: Michael Terezakis

Secretary: Tim Craine

 

A motion was made (Sevitch) to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned upon majority vote.
