Shrub discovered along the road by Segundo Leiva G., Thomas Mione & Leon Yacher, 19 May 2008, in the extreme northern end of Department Ancash, Peru. After finding this species once and taking these photos we searched carefully and thoroughly for 20 minutes and did not find this species again, and so it may be rare.
