Arroyo Alfaro et al. (2008) call for the urgent conservation of Bosque Cachil, the type locality of this species.

 

Geographic and Altitudinal Distribution: Peru, almost all specimens from Department Cajamarca, elevation 2000 - 2709 m, flowering in Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun and Dec.
