Unlike any other Jaltomata species, the sepals are almost entirely unfused, as shown in the photo below, where the view is of the abaxial face of the calyx. The specific epithet was proposed by T. Davis, who described the plants of his collection as 3 m high and 1.83 m broad, and having long internodes. This photo was generously provided by Tilton Davis (his slide was scanned 2007). |
